Life's Leftovers

Life's leftovers.  Over the course of our life as a child and then adult/parent, we will find ourselves addressing so many leftovers.  What to do?  Sadly the majority of these leftovers will find themselves tossed in the trash for lack of creativity of what to do with them.

And sadly, my friend, we find ourselves using the same process with those friendships, persons, relationships, community projects and creative ideas that we unconsciously term as Life's Leftovers.  "What am I supposed to do with the 'rest of this?'"  That is a wonderful inquiry so don't stop there.  Perhaps the better question is "What can I do with the rest of this?"  This is the approach over my life I have utilized to address school/community projects, vital fundraisers, moments of disappointment, events of discouragement and even to simply address those random items in my refrigerator that are the remnants of the past week's meals.

This simple book will share with you my thoughts and reflections regarding the greater issues of Life's leftovers, interspersed with some of my favorite personal recipes of addressing that leftover flank steak, produce, pasta noodles, barbecue pork, baked potatoes and so many other items that grace your refrigerator shelves.

My wife Di has told me so many times over the years, "I open the refrigerator and see a bunch of random food items.  But you open the refrigerator and you see a meal and then prepare it."  I would like to think I do the same thing with my own creative perspective of looking at Life.

In the spirit of an adventurer, I share with you my thoughts, reflections and recipes gathered along Life's trails.  And I invite you to share with me with your favorite "leftover" recipes that I include in my follow-up book.  I look forward to your own creative perspective into your personal refrigerator.

Peace be your journey, Lee
